«Astana Zdorovie - 2016» international EXPO

Within 13th Kazakhstani international expo «Astana Zdorovie - 2016» and international conference with the subject “Circulation of medicine and medical products in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Modern tendencies” arranged by the Ministry of health and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan(hereinafter, MoHSD RK) together with CK-Pharmacy LLC and KazMedTech JCS, there were memorandums singed with foreign companies on mutually beneficial cooperation.

Among participants there were representatives of different entities, such as, WHO (World Healthcare Organization), Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan,  Association of national and foreign pharmaceutical producers. In her speech at the conference Tamara Duysenova noted, that for the years of independence Kazakhstan had well formed its own pharmaceutical market. She said, “At the present time national pharmaceutical market became one of the most effectively developing markets in post-Soviet Union area. It was encouraged by high rates of economic growth of the country and also by the special focus of the Head of the country to the issues of healthcare. The capacity of pharmaceutical market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has grown more than 3 times within last 10 years and today it is rated 1.8 billion dollars (in 2005 – 465.3 million dollars)”. 
Minister had also noted, that there is a constant work performed to improve medical supply policy.


«Thus, more than 2 million Kazakhstani citizens are supplied by the government within guaranteed free medical service on outpatient level on 49 socially-valuable nosologies, with over 400 medical SKUs. The budget for financing an outpatient medication supply in 2015 formed  85 billion tenge.    

In order to insure rational usage of medication last year together with British experts there was developed and implemented Kazakhstani national medication formulary, that includes medicine with proven clinical effectiveness”, added Tamara Duysenova.

Starting from 2018 there will be good pharmacy practice (GXP) standards implemented in pharmaceutical industry, that will guarantee quality of medications. At the present time State register of registered and approved medication and medical products includes more than 14K SKUs. Since the country entered EAEU there were signed and ratified agreements about unified principles and specifications of medications and medical products within Eurasian Economic Union.  There will be created a united market of medication and medical products, corresponding to international standards; for that experts have already developed about laws and regulations.   

In the course of the event the Chairman of Board of Directors of CK-Pharmacy LLP Nurzhan Alibayev presented a Sole distribution of the Republic of Kazakhstan system development strategy within implementation of obligatory medical insurance.

Talgat Chinkeev, the Chairman of Board of Directors of KazNedTech JSC informed participants of the conference that new supply approach for medical institutions was developed together with large producers of medical equipment. Particularly, it is suggested to healthcare organizations to lease medical equipment costing from 5 to 100 million tenge.

In finale of the event there were following memorandums signed:

- Memorandum about mutual understanding between MoHSD RK and Novo Nordisk A/C company (Denmark) providing  experience and knowledge share in healthcare industry.

- Memorandum about cooperation between CK-Pharmacy LLC and Turkish medication supply agency providing cooperation in fields of medication supply policy, implementation of pharmaceutical product tracking system, and sharing information about specifics of national medication supply systems of each country.

- Memorandum about mutual understanding and cooperation between KazMedTech LLC with Russian representation office of Philips company, stipulating measures to develop supply of medical entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan with  modern equipment and development of maintenance service for medical equipment.
