On March 3-5, 2025, the 16th International Eurasian Pharmaceutical Forum was held in Almaty, which brought together key regulators, top managers of pharmaceutical companies, distributors and industry experts. Every year, the Forum is held with the support and active participation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), SK-Pharmacia and the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the 16th Forum, pharmaceutical market leaders discussed the strategic development and prospects of the industry in the CIS and EAEU countries. Botagoz Aukenovna Begimbetova, Chief Operating Officer of the domestic pharmaceutical manufacturer VIVA Pharm LLP, spoke at the plenary session: “Cooperation between local and international players. Strategic partnerships for the development of local and regional markets.” During her speech, the speaker emphasized that VIVA Pharm not only systematically and methodically invests in production and creates jobs, but also actively supports the localization and availability of high-quality medicines for the population. Botagoz Aukenovna also specifically noted that VIVA Pharm is fully owned by Kazakhstani shareholders and operates exclusively in the interests of the economy of Kazakhstan: "We are proud that VIVA Pharm has been working hard for 26 years and tirelessly investing its own funds in the development of domestic pharmaceutical production, creating jobs for Kazakhstanis and producing effective, safe, affordable and high-quality medicines for patients."
