For the first time in Kazakhstan, at 25th-26th of June, 2012; the Republican contest of pharmacy among students of pharmaceutical faculties of High Education Institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan had been held. 

For this moment, pharm-market of our country is one of the most dynamically developed in post-Soviet space; and pharmaceutical industry had been included in State program of Industrial-Innovation development. Increasing part of medicines with trade names of domestic production also are connected with full orientation of Kazakhstan to European legislation; and its harmonization with European norms which are attracted businessmen; and west companies are opened pharmaceutical manufactures in our country. Against the background of these events, personnel problem is stayed more critical and actual; and naturally, manufacturers of medicines are interesting in training of qualified staff for sector. 

LLP “VIVA PHARM” – Kazakhstan pharmaceutical company had been become as the general sponsor of this contest, which recently had started the manufacturing department of tableted and capsular forms of medicines. Production area of company had been projected in accordance with national and international standards and had been equipped with modern equipment, also it has the big potential for development. At this moment, this department is worked with output of 15 million tablets and 5 million capsules in the year; it is delivered the qualitative cardio medicines and Vitamin C (500 mg.) on the domestic market; and antihistaminic and antiviral medicines of new generation are in the stage of registration.

Pharmaceutical Olympiad also had been supported  by Association of international agencies of pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan; with active participation of such companies as “Nycomed” Russia-CIS, “Stada” CIS and “Sanofi”. Organizer of event is “Olympus of science” (Moscow city). 

The basic goals of contest are following: 

-  Raising of image of domestic pharmaceutical sector;

-  Revealing and development of special professional abilities of future specialists; 

-  Supporting of talented student youth;

-  Forming a team for participation in Olympiads of pharmaceutical specializations.

Winners of contest in the membership of team will be able to represent the Republic of Kazakhstan in All-Russian student pharmaceutical Olympiad in Kazan-2013.

Tasks of the Republic Contest of pharmacy are following:

-  Revealing of qualitative level of training; ability to use knowledge and skills in disciplines which are studied in the process of education, the common level of willingness of graduating specialists for professional activity;

-  Revealing of perspective personnel among pharmaceutical professions, and stimulating of their scientific work;

-  Organization of vocational guidance work and assistance in employment of young specialists-graduating students. 

In the HEIs of the Republic of Kazakhstan had passed the preliminary selections for 4th year  students. According to results of selection, in Almaty had gathered 18 students of pharmaceutical faculties: from Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D Asfendiyarov – six students, State Pharmaceutical Academy of South Kazakhstan – four students, three students from State Medical University of Karaganda and five students from State Medical University of Semey city.

After Olympiad at 25th of June was held a press-conference in the National press-club with participation of general director of LLP “Viva Pharm” Mashkeyev B.A., dean of pharmaceutical faculty of Kaz.NMU named after S.D Asfendiyarov, professor Datkhayev U.M., leader of module “Pharmacist-technologist ” professor, doctor of Philology Sakipova Z.B, assistant of dean of SPAOSK in Shymkent city, associate professor, candidate of Philological Sciences Markevich M.P and also Nadelyaeva Irina, organizer of company “Olympus of science” (Moscow city). 

During press-conference, the general director of “VIVA PHARM” company Batyrbek Mashkyeev informed about his interest in future collaboration with graduating students, who had passed the contest: 

- We opened our own manufacture and now we are intensely need personnel. Before, our company had  been invited foreign specialists but now the substitution is happened with Kazakhstan specialists. Such contest will be revealed the best students with who we would like to sign the long-term agreements of giving work. 

Irina Nadelyaeva assured about full adherence of institute of independence examination and also underlined one more time the importance of such contests. According to words of dean of pharmaceutical faculty of Kaz.NMU Ubaydulla Datkhayev, this Olympiad and its perspectives will be helped in stimulation of students, because for these days without integration of science, manufacture and education, the development of pharmaceutical industry is impossible.

At 26th of June after graduating of contest, winners of Olympiad were given diplomas and certificates of sponsors in ceremonial atmosphere.

State Pharmaceutical Academy of South Kazakhstan – 42

State Medical University of Karaganda – 41

State Medical University of Semey city – 37.6

The average mark in contests: 

Module “Pharmaceutical chemistry” – 12,5

Module “Pharmacist – manager” – 27

Results of contest are following:

5th place – Sinelnikova Marina, State Medical University of Semey city (44 marks)

4th place – Karabayeva Aynur, State Pharmaceutical Academy of South Kazakhstan (45 marks)

3d place – Tolukbayev Sayat, State Medical University of Semey city (46 marks)

2d place – Saruarova Perizat, State Medical University of Karaganda (48 marks)

1st place – Tylalova Malika, State Pharmaceutical Academy of South Kazakhstan (54 marks)

Organizers had instituted extra prize-winning place for Zhanibekova Nazerke, student of Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D Asfendiyarov in discipline: “Pharmaceutical chemistry”. Nazerke had received certificate “for the most professional way to solve sums of contest” and also she had received a right of participation in pharmaceutical camp “Filin” (Russia 2012).

Such contests will be planned to hold every year, it will be revealed best students for their further employment on the manufactures.
