On November 14 the world has celebrated a Global Day of Struggle with Diabetes Mellitus which is the one of the most serious medical and social problems. This day serves as important reminder for all progressive manhood that disease is spreading increasingly.

As it known world-wide, the main measure of preventing of disease development and progressing of its serious complications is compliance of healthy life style principles  and correction of glucose level in blood on the regular determination basis.

The Company “VIVA PHARM” jointly with company “LifeScan” – with subdivision “Johnson&Johnson” – under aegis of Diabetic Association of Kazakhstan as token of support and hope for future, in which diabetes mellitus won’t cause so many sufferings, have joined to the struggle with disease, launching charity action “Check yourself for diabetes”.

On November 14, 2013  every visitor of action in the Central Pharmacy No2 (Gogol - Furmanova Streets) and “Pharmacy Plus” (Auezova - Gabdullina streets) of Almaty could pass express-analysis on advanced highly-accurate glucometer «OneTouch Select» of “LifeScan” Company production.

“To check themselves for diabetes” have come hundreds of Almaty citizens. Within seconds the people received examination results. The increased glucose level in blood was detected in 15% of observed people. In the future such action is to be planned to carry out in pharmacies of our city on regular basis.

The preliminary results of the launched screening one more time confirmed that there is a necessity in population suspicion and regular observation for diabetes. An early diagnostics of disease will allow to start timely treatment and will allow to live productive life even with such disappointing diagnosis, and possibly will save you life.
